Program Description:

This session addresses the challenges of deploying engaging RIM communications and training programs to a diverse population. Attendees will discover a variety of strategies, from traditional training to technology-driven interactions and program branding, which are designed to embed the Principles and spark productive dialogue. Special emphasis is directed to mentoring RIM Coordinators and their evolving role. Attendees will receive a package with easy to follow, budget-friendly tools for a creative, relevant, and successful program.

Learning Objectives:

Build a suite of learning tools for all types of audience:
• Exercises and games – develop interactive ways to engage your audience
• Knowledge checks – measure understanding of the material; pre- and post-training
• Videos – leverage existing capabilities to develop video content, peer recognition
• Web Site – publish job aids, FAQ’s, reinforce leadership support, increase visibility

Facilitator:
Amy Van Artsdalen, CRM, IGP, is the Enterprise Records Operations Manager at Pacific Gas & Electric where she develops and monitors the Enterprise Records and Information Management program. She has expertise in the implementation of records management programs in the Bio-Pharmaceutical, Financial, and Information Technology industries. She currently serves on the Board of the ARMA Golden Gate Chapter as the Communications Director

Co-Facilitator(s):
Jeff Mondon is a Gas Records Analyst Expert at Pacific Gas & Electric where he leads the development, implementation and management of RIM policies standards and procedures. Jeff is also part of the utility’s RIM curriculum development team and a member of the Documentum governance committee. Prior to joining P&GE, he was a Regional Operations Manager for two of the largest providers of outsourcing solutions, specializing in on-site services for RIM, e-discovery and litigation support.

Valerie Mc Morrow has over 10 years of experience in Records Management both in law firms and in the corporate environment. Before joining PG&E as a Senior Analyst, she began her career as a Litigation paralegal in Northern California and eventually transitioned into Records and Information Management. Her areas of expertise include corporate training and technology implementation. She served on the Board of the Golden Gate and Silicon Valley chapters of ARMA.

LaTasha Jackson has over 10 years of experience in records and information management. Her specialties include employee training and records management in both the utility and legal industry. Before becoming an expert analyst for Gas Operations at PG&E she was a Records Manager for a mid-sized law firm in Northern California. She is currently a CRM candidate, and is an ARMA member
