Special Guest Speaker:  Diane Premeau, Director Health Information Services
Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center

Diane Premeau, MBA, RHIA, RHIT, CHP, specializes in the migration from paper to a chartless environment in Health Information Management.  Currently Director at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.  She has worked in a variety of health care settings, including Hospital Systems, County Hospital Networks where her responsibilities include revenue cycle and implementation of their point of care E HR and of course, migration to a chartless environment.   Diane’s areas of expertise include systems analysis, development of health information systems, database management and she develops courses and teaches health informatics.

As an HIM professional for the past 20+ years, Diane is a Proud Past President of the California Health Information Association, recipient of the CHIA Professional Achievement Award and currently serves as an accreditation site reviewer for academic/collegiate programs through CAHIIM. 

Diane has worked in a variety of health care industries including acute, long term, and mental health.  She has been a consultant in some interesting environments including prisons, jails, rehabilitation hospitals, multi-campus systems, and continues as a federal court appointed medical record expert.

Diane has an MBA from Stephens College in Columbia Missouri;  Bachelors Degrees in Psychology and Sociology from University of California, Santa Barbara and received her certification in health information administration from Stephen’s College, Columbia Missouri, with credentials as an RHIT and RHIA.  She is active in AHIMA, California Health Information Association (CHIA), Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA), Association of Clinical Documentation Specialists (ACDIS),  Health Information Management System Society (HIMSS) and American Records Management Association (ARMA).   Over her career, Diane has spoken as an advocate for health information best practices and migration to an electronic health environment.
