Using Metrics to Demonstrate Improved
IG Maturity

Organizations struggle with linking investment in Information Governance (IG) programs to demonstrating measurable improvements in the maturity of them.  This session will explore how and why PG&E developed and implemented its IG metrics strategy within six months in 2016, and how the metrics initiative is progressing in 2017.  The session will include such topics as:

  • Reasons for implementing a metrics strategy;
  • A guideline for  Developing IG metrics, including possible technology to support them; and
  • A description of how to maintain and use the metrics to support and enhance an IG program.

Key Takeaways from this Session

Organizations across industries will gain knowledge of leading edge strategies and tactics for developing, maintaining and using metrics to enhance and get support for IG programs. Specifically, attendees will learn:

  • How to identify, prioritize, track and report upon IG program metrics;
  • Different technology options available to organizations to maintain a metrics program; and
  • How to use IG program metrics to obtain executive and financial support.
